Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Wildwood, NJ. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by providing psychological assessments, counseling, and support services.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
Job Description:
- We are looking for a skilled School Psychologist to conduct psychological assessments to identify students needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- The ideal candidate will provide individual and group counseling services to students to address emotional, social, and academic issues.
- Candidates should be able to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- This role requires participation in multi-disciplinary team meetings to review students progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- The successful candidate will assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote a positive school climate.
- Providing crisis intervention and support to students and staff as needed is also essential.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student services and progress is crucial.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology is required.
- Candidates must have valid School Psychologist certification/license in the state.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- A strong understanding of child and adolescent development is essential.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
- Candidates should be able to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, parents, and staff.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in school psychology is necessary.
