The Speech Language Pathologist plays a vital role in assessing patients' needs and providing personalized speech therapy treatments. This position requires NYS licensure (no CFYs) and ASHA CCC certification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech/language problems, including swallow dysfunction, in accordance with physician referrals.
  • Instruct and educate speech students, the community, and supervise rehab aides.
  • Assess patients' psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited speech language pathology program and certificate of clinical competence (ASHA).
  • NYS licensure.
Preferred Skills
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing work volumes.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to lift and move patients with assistance, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
