The New Jersey Institute for Successful Aging is a designated Center of Excellence, offering a tripartite mission of clinical service, education and research. As a multidisciplinary center, it provides team-based care to older individuals across the continuum of care, including acute, ambulatory, home and assisted living care, subacute and long-term care.

Our Department consists of a diversified faculty and staff, including geriatricians, geriatric psychiatrists, neurologists, neuropsychologists, behavioral researchers, neuroscientist researchers, nurse practitioners, social workers and health educators. We offer primary care services, with specialty programs including the Memory Assessment Program, Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, and House Calls.

NJISA's research focuses on behavioral research, basic science/translational research, and research in primary care. Funding is provided by the National Institutes of Health and private foundations. NJISA also participates in or leads multi-institutional research projects.

We provide an array of educational offerings to families, caregivers, and health professionals. As a Department in Rowan-Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine, NJISA is committed to training the physicians of tomorrow. Our goal is to create a healthcare workforce that is prepared to meet the needs of the growing generation of older individuals.

In this role, you will provide primary care/geriatric clinical services in the ambulatory, acute, home, long-term care, and subacute settings. You will participate in the on-call schedule and train medical students and residents. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of our faculty and support the mission of the Department of Geriatrics and Gerontology.

Required skills and qualifications include a valid NJ Medical License, CDS, DEA, Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and a Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatrics (preferred).
