The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI), a proud AspenTech Business. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, planning, integrating, testing, and commissioning hardware and software requirements on customer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan hardware and software requirements for customer systems
  • Provide technical sales support for state-of-the-art power systems applications
  • Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements
  • Perform hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing
  • Customize system, hardware, and network configuration based on customer requirements
  • Provide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty
  • Assist in creating training materials and project documentation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Strong technical background in automation and computers with at least 3 years' of relevant experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows operation systems, C/C++
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong commitment to providing superior customer service
  • Ability to work on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic and international customer sites
