Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth or Family Peer Support Specialist to join our Mobile Response Stabilization Services (MRSS) team. As a key member of our team, you will provide mobile response and stabilization services to youth and families in crisis, utilizing your lived experience to connect them with needed services and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with youth and families to de-escalate crises and assess risk.
  • Provide peer support services during the stabilization phase of treatment, up to six weeks.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and services to meet client needs.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma with 3 years of experience in the mental health field, working with youth and families.
  • Must obtain State of Ohio Peer Recovery certification for either Youth Peer Support or Family Peer Support.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to work cooperatively as a team and independently.
  • Experience working with electronic medical records and diverse populations with complex psychiatric needs.
  • A valid driver's license, vehicle, and auto insurance coverage.
