Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Old Republic. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and adjustments.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring budget performance and providing variance analysis.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices, streamlining accounting procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and train junior accountants and staff, providing guidance and support on accounting issues and inquiries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, including experience in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
