Job Title: Uptime Engineering Sr. Product Engineer

Kenworth Truck Company, a leading manufacturer of heavy and medium-duty trucks, is seeking a highly skilled Uptime Engineering Sr. Product Engineer to join our team in Kirkland, WA.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of experts in analyzing diagnostic data from 10,000+ Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks to identify and resolve issues that cause vehicle downtime. As a Uptime Engineering Sr. Product Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple PACCAR locations to drive corrective action and improve vehicle uptime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze large datasets to understand emerging issues and develop plans to reduce vehicle downtime
  • Work closely with Kenworth and Peterbilt warranty and field services teams to gather input and lead containment efforts
  • Track and prioritize projects based on customer impact and provide regular status updates to management
  • Collaborate with development engineering groups to prevent repeat issues and ensure use of Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools
Requirements
  • B.S. in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, chemical engineering, or computer science required; Master's degree and/or P.E. license preferred
  • 5-7 years of automotive electrical, electronic, and software design experience required, preferably within PACCAR
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to provide group leadership and management of the team
