Experienced PCU RN Wanted for Travel Assignment in California

A challenging opportunity has emerged for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at Mercy Medical Center in California. This travel assignment offers an excellent chance to gain experience in a dynamic ICU stepdown or PCU unit environment.
Job Requirements- The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in their specialty, with open-mindedness towards first-time travelers.
- Prior experience in ICU stepdown or PCU units is essential, with training in telemetry and high-risk medications.
- Proficiency in titrating drips, including Precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, levophed, and pressors is also required.
- The successful applicant must be able to work effectively in Arterial and CVP pressure lines; train patients on precedex; trach & stable vented patients.
- This role comes with 12-hour shifts, starting at either 6:45 am or pm, with three shifts per week.
- Schedules are made approximately 2-3 weeks in advance initially, then expanded to 9 weeks in advance.
- The self-scheduling process allows for flexibility and autonomy.
- Weekend requirements include four weekend shifts within a four-week schedule, with days falling on Saturdays and Sundays, and nights on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Nights, every other weekend, and first-to-float opportunities make this position appealing to those seeking variety.
- Scrub color/dress code is navy blue, while unit-specific orientation involves a one-shift introduction to the unit.
