Certified Medication Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medication Technician to join our team at Clairmont Place Senior Living Community. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering medications and providing exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications to residents under the supervision of the Clinical Director
- Verify resident identities and record medication administration on electronic MAR
- Observe medication administration and report any unexpected reactions to the Clinical Director
- Document reasons for non-administration of prescribed medications
- Adhere to medication administration policies and procedures
- Take vital signs and observe residents for response to medication
- Prepare reports and notify the Clinical Director of unexpected reactions
- Assist residents with self-administration of medication
- Monitor and record temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure as directed
- High school diploma or GED
- Med Tech certification or background preferred
- Ability to work semi-independently and have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedures
- Practices infection control and special precautions in all resident care duties
- Works with integrity and upholds organizational values
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively in front of others
