Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Desktop Engineer to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, availability, and uptime of our systems, ensuring that we can provide continuous world-class patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and support physical and virtual desktop environments, including endpoint management, patching, and encryption.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain endpoint images in SCCM and MDT, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Provide documentation and support to staff members for deploying images and configuring endpoints.
  • Develop and implement group policies and login scripts for endpoint configuration and functionality.
  • Automate software deployment, Windows Updates, and third-party patches to endpoints.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure systems supported by the IT Desktop Engineers.
  • Provide third-level support on endpoint issues and serve as a technical resource for IT staff.
  • Implement endpoint security configurations and procedures as directed by Cybersecurity, Information Security, and Compliance.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or four years of relevant IT experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on projects independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues within all aspects of endpoint management.
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time.
