We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Open Door Family Medical Centers in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
Job OverviewThis is a full-time position responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our medical facilities. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring our facilities meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize patient exam rooms, hallways, waiting areas, bathrooms, and other areas.
- Maintain center cleanliness by cleaning, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing.
- Restock housekeeping supplies and notify supervisor if new supplies are needed.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenish bathroom items and maintain furnishings by dusting and polishing furniture and glass surfaces.
- Label and remove infectious waste bags and containers.
- Clean stairways and elevators on a scheduled basis.
- Follow cleaning procedures outlined in the Housekeeping Procedures Manual.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- 2 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment, as well as cleaning techniques.
- Knowledge of Infection Control techniques.
- Patient and polite, able to interact effectively with personnel.
- Capable of understanding and working within departmental operations.
- Ability to lift/carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, stretching, and finger/hand dexterity.
- Frequent lifting and pushing of supplies and equipment.
- Flexibility with schedule and willingness to work additional hours if needed.
- Perfect attendance and punctuality.
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. Open Door Family Medical Centers offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
