Mutuel/Sports Teller

Delaware Park Casino & Racing is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Mutuel/Sports Teller to join our team. As a Mutuel/Sports Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and promoting our gaming and racing events.

• Customer Service: Create a fun and entertaining environment for our guests, ensuring a positive experience through excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Cash Handling: Accurately manage cash and cash equivalents, maintaining a secure and organized environment.
• Sales and Redemption: Directly sell and redeem winning horse and sports tickets, meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
• Settlement and Reporting: Prepare accurate settlement paperwork and financial transactions through our POS systems.
• Marketing and Promotions: Promote company marketing and promotional events, and provide knowledgeable answers to guest questions.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and guests, maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
• Adaptability: Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and adapt to changing business needs.

• Experience: Prior cashier, money handling, and/or customer service experience is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Thoroughbred Racing Industry is preferred.
• Licensing and Background Check: Must be able to successfully complete and maintain the background check and licensing process required by the Delaware Gaming Enforcement.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to walk and/or stand for at least a full eight-hour shift, and perform duties that require bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, squatting, and grasping.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management in a fast-paced environment.
