Compensation and Benefits

Job Responsibilities

As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by performing various delegated basic patient care services. Under the supervision of the registered nurse, you will assist the nursing staff in providing patient care and maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe environment. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting patients with activities of daily living, such as eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
  • Obtaining and recording patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, calorie counts, and other relevant data.
  • Assisting with mobility, including regular turning and positioning, dangling, and ambulating patients, as well as transferring patients to and from other units, departments, or entities.
  • Assisting with specimen collection and ensuring accuracy of all labels and timely transfer of specimens.
  • Engaging in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • A High School Graduate or equivalent.
