About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team at Arlington Independent School District. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality health services to students and promoting their overall well-being.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing district health services programs, providing direct care to students, and collaborating with parents, healthcare professionals, and the community to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement district health services programs to meet the needs of the student population on assigned campuses
  • Provide direct care using professional assessment skills, nursing process, individualized healthcare plans, and established school health protocols
  • Assess student problems, communicate with parents, and ensure appropriate referrals and follow-up as needed
  • Notify parents of accidents or illnesses and secure emergency medical care for students as necessary
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and evaluate outcomes of skilled and direct nursing care and procedures for medically fragile students
  • Collaborate closely with campus principals and other staff to ensure a healthy school environment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice nursing in Texas
  • Valid CPR certification within the past 2 years
  • Valid Vision, Hearing, Acanthosis Nigricans, and Spinal Screening certification within the last 5 years
  • At least 3 years' experience in nursing

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
