Job Title: Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team at The Lockwood Group. As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a critical role in advancing the capabilities of modern networked systems for the Army, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security of electrical systems integral to military operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Develop and design electrical systems and circuits to support advanced military networking technologies. Create and evaluate technical specifications, schematics, and reports for electrical components.
  • Integration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with software and hardware components. Ensure seamless operation and compatibility of electrical systems with existing military infrastructure.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure they meet required performance standards and specifications. Analyze test data and troubleshoot issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation for designs, test procedures, and validation reports. Maintain up-to-date records of all electrical engineering activities, changes, and improvements.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs and systems comply with military standards and regulations as well as safety protocols. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate cutting-edge solutions.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with project managers and other engineers to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs. Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
  • BS, min of 10 years of relevant experience. Minimum of 5 years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuit design, and modern networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with military standards and protocols related to networking and communication systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
