We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Surgery Unit at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients undergoing cardiac surgery, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- 1 year of experience in a progressive care or step-down setting in an acute care facility
- 1 year of Epic experience preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 night shifts, with flexibility to accommodate block schedules as needed
- Ability to insert IVs and interpret telemetry data
- 36 hours of guaranteed hours per week
- Top 10 diagnosis/procedures: open heart surgery, transcatheter procedures, TAVR, Mitraclip, ACS, watchman device, thoracic and vascular surgery, respiratory failure/disease, unstable cardiac arrhythmia, CHF, acute stroke, post-neuro endovascular intervention
- Opportunity to work with a high-acuity patient population
