Job Summary

This position is responsible for preparing and cooking food, serving customers, and completing other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand work flow, prioritize tasks, use timelines, and meet deadlines
  2. Follow recipes and/or instructions in the preparation of food items
  3. Utilize commercial cooking equipment safely and effectively
  4. Prepare modified diets using appropriate techniques
  5. FOLLOW HACCP food safety standards
  6. Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
  7. Manage production quantities and rotate products appropriately
  8. Apply safe food handling techniques in all applications
  9. Interact with customers in various venues, including catering, retail outlets, and patient care
  10. Prepare bulk food items, large-scale productions, line cook, or complete assembly of specialty meals and catered items
  11. Deliver patient meals, cashiers, stock, and use automatic and manual ware-washing machines (as required)

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A Food Handler's Permit as required by county
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in hotels, large-scale production facilities, education, or business dining, with one year of food service experience preferred.
