Job SummaryThis position is responsible for preparing and cooking food, serving customers, and completing other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Understand work flow, prioritize tasks, use timelines, and meet deadlines
- Follow recipes and/or instructions in the preparation of food items
- Utilize commercial cooking equipment safely and effectively
- Prepare modified diets using appropriate techniques
- FOLLOW HACCP food safety standards
- Maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
- Manage production quantities and rotate products appropriately
- Apply safe food handling techniques in all applications
- Interact with customers in various venues, including catering, retail outlets, and patient care
- Prepare bulk food items, large-scale productions, line cook, or complete assembly of specialty meals and catered items
- Deliver patient meals, cashiers, stock, and use automatic and manual ware-washing machines (as required)

To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A Food Handler's Permit as required by county
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
Experience in hotels, large-scale production facilities, education, or business dining, with one year of food service experience preferred.
