Inventory Management Specialist

NSI Industries is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Control Lead to oversee and coordinate all aspects of inventory management on site.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervision and Coordination:
- Supervise and oversee all inventory control activities within the site.
- Coordinate and manage cycle counts as designated by relevant management.
- Lead, train, and mentor inventory control staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Assist with managing other areas of the facility as required.
- Inventory Accuracy and Management:
- Investigate and resolve stock level discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Work closely with management to advise on stock level discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure all items in the warehouse are properly labeled and address any labeling issues promptly.
- Policy and System Administration:
- Administer and enforce policy changes regarding inventory within the company.
- Advise management on issues within the inventory control modules of the company's ERP system.
- Support year-end inventory processes, including training employees and assisting during counting and auditing processes.
- Cross-Functional Liaison:
- Act as a primary liaison between the warehouse and customer service departments to ensure smooth communication and resolve any inventory-related issues.
- Collaborate with various departments to aid with special projects and support company-wide initiatives.
- Maintenance and Reporting:
- Maintain inventory accuracy and integrity across sites.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned to support the overall efficiency of the inventory management function.
- Ability to work 5 days a week, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, with strong Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with inventory control software applications is highly desirable.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, including cycle counting, is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, push, pull, twist, and turn for long periods of time (varied based on daily tasks).
- Strength, dexterity, coordination, and vision to use a keyboard and computer monitor for prolonged periods.
