{"Job Title": "Insurance Specialist", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Specialist to join our team at Hamilton County, Ohio. As an Insurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing the administration of our property and liability insurance programs. Your responsibilities will include processing insurance claims, reviewing Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and working closely with insurance brokers and County personnel to ensure compliance with insurance requirements. You will also maintain insurance records, support the Risk Manager, and provide expert guidance to County departments on insurance-related issues.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Coordinate with Risk Manager and insurance brokers for submission of claims and purchase or renewal of insurance policies.
* Notify brokers of changes in property or equipment affecting insurance coverage.
* Review received Certificates of Insurance (COI) and enter information in an electronic data management resource.
* Review bid documents and agreements between the County and awarded and prospective vendors to ensure County insurance requirements and conditions are met
* Maintain data on incidents and claims.
* Prepare claim settlement documents for Risk Manager or County Administrator approval and requests payments from County Auditor.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field
* Three (3) years human resource/personnel experience in insurance administration, risk management, or a related field.
* Or an equivalent amount of education and work experience
* Valid driver's license in the state of residency.

**Work Environment:**

* 40 Hour Work Week, generally between core hours of 7:30-5:30
* Work Location: 138 East Court St. Cincinnati, Oh. 45202
