We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Waterville, ME area. This is a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, paid weekly, and includes health/dental/vision insurance and 401k matching.

About the Role

This Special Education Teacher opportunity involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. You will provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team is essential to creating a nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities include adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Assessing student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly is crucial to ensuring student success.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid state teaching certification/license in Special Education
  • Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city settings is preferred
