Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the project manager in ensuring projects adhere to client requirements and business goals.
  • Develop and drive project plans, manage cross-functional teams, and coordinate activities within established project timelines.
  • Span all project phases: planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, demolition, and decommissioning of abandoned assets, and handover to client.
  • Provide leadership to on-site construction teams, overseeing daily construction work.
  • Lead and foster a safe working environment.
  • Motivate teams and celebrate successes.
  • Lead tendering processes, including development of RFPs, bid review and clarification, and development and execution of design, procurement, and construction contracts.
  • Ensure contractors schedule, conduct, and document all construction meetings, including construction progress meetings, safety meetings, and inspections.
  • Review submittals for conformance with contract documents.
  • Coordinate RFIs as required.
  • Develop permitting strategy and track permitting requirements through project completion.
  • Coordinate design reviews and approvals between owner and contractors.
  • Manage work to follow regulatory and industry requirements, including multiple permitting jurisdictions.
  • Review general contractor scope for completeness and develop buyout strategies.
  • Validate all (interim) payment requests from the General Contractor and all owner subcontractors.
  • Review contractors site-specific health and safety plan and verify all safety programs align to and are consistent with Arcadis and the owners health and safety requirements.
  • Take an active role in partnership with the construction manager to ensure control of work adherence.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to safety standards and approved plans.
  • Maintain accurate project files, meetings records, and correspondence.
  • Verify contractors provide all applicable certificates of insurance prior to any work being performed.
  • Oversee project commissioning and handover process.
  • Work collaboratively to move tenants into the new workspace.
  • Provide weekly and monthly client reporting packages to senior and executive leaders within the client and Arcadis organizations.
  • Drive financial success of projects and programs across North America.
  • Lead by example and provide mentorship to young career professionals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of program management experience.
