Job Title: Patient Scheduler

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Scheduler to join our team at North Penn Endodontics - Quakertown. As a Patient Scheduler, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care by effectively communicating and coordinating appointments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our patients and referral offices via phone.
  • Utilize multi-line phone queue system to efficiently assist callers.
  • Direct callers to appropriate department for assistance, if not calling to schedule an appointment.
  • Assess, document, and dock patients to RN utilizing clinical messaging for post-surgical questions and concerns.
  • Accurately schedule patients for consultation and surgical procedure in the patient EMR system using appropriate policies and protocols.
  • Obtain appropriate insurance information and complete the insurance verification form accurately.
  • Educate patients on in-network insurance policies and protocols for out-of-network insurances.
  • Contact patients to reschedule their appointments due to schedule changes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested, such as patient registration queue, patient EMR data entry/scanning, referral office requests, and chart preparation.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations at all times.
  • Follow and model the Practice's values and inspire others to achieve the same.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a dental office, preferably as a patient scheduler or patient coordinator or in a similar patient-scheduling role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and the dental team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain information in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in dental software and basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
  • Empathetic and patient-centered approach to customer service.
  • A high school diploma.
