Job Title: Underground Construction Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Underground Construction Foreman to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of underground telecommunications cables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of crew members in the installation and repair of underground telecommunications cables.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Read and interpret utility maps and prints to identify underground utilities.
  • Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • 3+ years of experience in the telecommunications or utility construction/maintenance industry.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
  • Able to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment.
  • Capable of reading prints and interpreting utility maps.
  • Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions and as needed (overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call).
