The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Description

As a Biomedical Operations Specialist, you will oversee and coordinate the biomedical and field service technicians assigned to a designated location. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that medical equipment at the office and customer locations is timely and cost-effectively inspected, repaired, and maintained.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and detailed equipment records, assisting in growing technical services revenue, and supporting key daily office functions.

In addition, you will manage requisitions, parts, and supply inventory and purchase orders. You will complete required documentation, reports, and updates to support business operations and ensure compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) regulations.

You will work closely with key staff members to promote revenue growth, cost containment, and expansion of services with existing and potential customers. You will also participate in training technical services technicians and provide cross and lateral training, emphasizing continuous improvement and teamwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an associate's degree in an applied science (electronics or biomedical equipment technology preferred) or equivalent military training.
  • At least 1 year of technical experience in medical equipment preventive maintenance, repair, and handling.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including hospital operations, alternate care providers, and medical equipment manufacturers.
  • Demonstrated competency in performing operational verification procedures, preventive maintenance, and repair service on various equipment.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Completion of required documentation, reports, and updates to support business operations.
Work Environment

This position requires willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required. You will also need a valid driver's license and ability to lift and/or push 75 pounds.
