Job DescriptionResponsibilities

The Cardiovascular Imaging Technologist will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing equipment before and during procedures
  2. Identifying and assessing patient condition, preparing, positioning, and providing patient care
  3. Establishing and maintaining a sterile environment
  4. Serving as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students and participating in the orientation of new staff
  5. Utilizing downtime appropriately by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks by Charge person or manager
  6. Maintaining strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist eligibility and/or current RCIS certification
  • Previous procedural area experience preferred
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology registration and/or RCIS certification, Cardiovascular (CV) or (CI) and/or (VI) certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment; ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained through duration of employment
