We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at GPAC, an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience estimating and be proficient in developing accurate and complete job estimates. They will also possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and their representatives to ensure technical specifications and designs are feasible and consistent with industry standards.
  • Estimating project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, written specifications and related documents.
  • Conducting site visits and attending pre-bid meetings to understand the project scope.
  • Reviewing and taking off blueprints, soliciting bids from subcontractors, gathering subcontractor pricing and conducting scope review.
  • Evaluating subcontractor bids to bid documents and plans to ensure that the full scope of work was considered.
  • Calculating costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
  • Collaborating with clients to help them achieve their project cost budget through consideration of plan details, alternate material/finishes and building methods.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience estimating.
  • DOT, bridge, and/or heavy highway construction experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Experience in conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction document budgets and estimates.
  • Estimating software knowledge preferred, including HCSS Heavy Bid.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. The estimated annual salary for this role is $$93,000 - $120,000, based on industry standards and location.
