The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse who cares for patients coming into our facility. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining accurate patient records, administering medication, monitoring for side effects, recording vital signs, and reporting symptoms and changes in patient conditions for all ages of patients.

The RN provides care that reflects an integration of knowledge, skills, and experience to meet the needs of patients and families. They are accountable for all care provided to assigned patients during the shift, including the care delegated to nursing assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).

The RN reports to the Nursing Director and supports the hospital by implementing physicians orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documenting treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assessing and evaluating patients' needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administering IV and non-IV medications as ordered.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Directing and guiding ancillary personnel and maintaining standards of professional nursing.

The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Nursing Director. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
