Behavioral Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team at Otter House Wellness. This is a unique opportunity to work with individuals in need of support and guidance as they navigate their recovery journey.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Supervise patients and living areas to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Assist in coordinating daily program activities, including transportation, group activities, admissions, and discharges.
- Record patient behavior, problems, and issues in a timely and legible manner.
- Interact appropriately with patients, demonstrating respect and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively with staff members to promote quality patient care.
- Safely transport clients in company vehicles and report any incidents to the supervisor.
- Provide coverage for vacations, sick time, and other absences.
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Addictions Studies or a related field.
- Prior experience working in chemical dependency/substance abuse and/or psychiatric settings is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and ability to be added to Company Vehicle Insurance Policy are required.
- CBHT certification is preferred.
- KIPU EMR experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also preferred.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours is essential.
The estimated salary for this position is $17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
