We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Support Specialist to join our team at Otter House Wellness. This is a unique opportunity to work with individuals in need of support and guidance as they navigate their recovery journey.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise patients and living areas to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Assist in coordinating daily program activities, including transportation, group activities, admissions, and discharges.
  • Record patient behavior, problems, and issues in a timely and legible manner.
  • Interact appropriately with patients, demonstrating respect and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with staff members to promote quality patient care.
  • Safely transport clients in company vehicles and report any incidents to the supervisor.
  • Provide coverage for vacations, sick time, and other absences.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Addictions Studies or a related field.
  • Prior experience working in chemical dependency/substance abuse and/or psychiatric settings is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be added to Company Vehicle Insurance Policy are required.
  • CBHT certification is preferred.
  • KIPU EMR experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are also preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours is essential.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $17.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
