Job Overview

Girl Scouts North Carolina Coastal Pines is seeking a part-time Community Engagement Specialist to serve Chatham, Lee, Person, and Orange Counties. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and facilitating programs for girls in these communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver programs to groups of 25+ girls at partner sites.
  • Prepare and set up materials based on programming.
  • Travel throughout assigned areas as needed.
  • Interface with site leaders and staff.

Requirements:

  • High School degree and/or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with youth, professional or volunteer experience considered.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, produce results, and must be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work normal business hours Monday - Friday up to 19 hours per week.
  • This position requires driving a personal vehicle; therefore, the individual must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current valid driver's license, and self-report any vehicle violations.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift or move a minimum of 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Commitment to GSNCCP and GSUSA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Racial Justice (DEI/RJ) initiatives.
  • Required to maintain a GSUSA membership.
