Providence NICU Speech Language Pathologist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled NICU Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA. As a NICU SLP, you will provide developmentally appropriate assessments and interventions to infants in the NICU or special care nurseries who are at risk or identified with communication, cognition, feeding, and/or swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessments and interventions to infants in the NICU or special care nurseries
  • Work collaboratively with a neonatal team that includes other clinicians across disciplines, nurses, and physicians to create the best possible outcome for our patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, cognition, feeding, and/or swallowing disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Document patient progress and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
  • Washington Speech Language Pathologist License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed SLP
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a NICU or with medically fragile infants
