Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our organization.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans. This includes conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial health status, developing individualized care plans, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physiologic and psychosocial health status, identifying actual and potential problems
  • Develop individualized care plans, prioritizing goals and interventions based on patient needs
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals as needed
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Participate in discharge planning and coordination of referrals, as necessary

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
  • BCLS and ACLS certifications preferred
  • At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department setting
