Lead Advanced Care Clinician for Inpatient Services

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Novant Health Medical Group. This role will work alongside physicians in managing our department, providing care to patients under the direction of inpatient care providers, and working autonomously with strong communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changes as they arise.
- This position requires a commitment to patient care, competent identification of emergent situations, and provision of appropriate care as part of a team providing overnight care.
- The ideal candidate should have experience with admissions and cross-coverage.
- This role is responsible for managing 7 shifts in a 2-week pay period (12-hour shifts) without call requirements.
This lead provider will work collaboratively with our physicians to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while being part of a dynamic team, possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of diagnosis, pharmacology, and physical assessment and management of chronic illness.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Masters Degree required, either from an NCCPA-accredited physician assistant program or NP/post-Master's NP program
- One to three years' experience in acute care preferred
- Current PA or NP license in the appropriate state required, along with NCCPA registry or state nursing board registration, BLS, and DEA registry
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
