We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audiologist Extern to join our team at Children's Mercy Kansas City. As a key member of our Hearing and Speech department, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and families, providing medical audiologic services through a broad range of diagnostic and habilitative procedures.
Under the direct supervision of a licensed and certified CMH audiologist, you will be responsible for performing and documenting diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic procedures to evaluate, diagnose, and treat hearing disorders in children. You will also participate in activities to increase the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of patient care.
As a valued member of our team, you will have access to ongoing education, training, and instruction to acquire the skills needed to function independently. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce, and we welcome candidates from a wide range of backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and document diagnostic and rehabilitative audiologic procedures
- Participate in activities to increase the quality, efficiency, and outcomes of patient care
- Obtain education, training, and instruction needed to acquire the skills to function independently
Qualifications:
- Completion of third year and current enrollment in fourth year of an accredited AuD program
- No experience necessary; on-the-job training provided
