Salary:

This rewarding position comes with a competitive salary range of $43,149.60 - $50,649.60, paid biweekly over 26 pay periods, inclusive of verified experience and education.

Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, your primary responsibility will be to provide supervision and guidance to nursing staff while ensuring that students receive high-quality care. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing plans to meet the unique needs of our students, who are deaf/hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired, or deafblind.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising nursing staff to ensure they follow established protocols and guidelines.
  • Providing age-appropriate nursing care to students ranging from preschool to 22 years old.
  • Assessing student needs, developing plans to address those needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented interventions.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464.
  • At least two years of professional nursing experience, with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nursing substituting for one year of experience.
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nursing substituting for the required experience.
