Production Scientist 2

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Scientist 2 to join our Protein Purification Team at Promega Corporation. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for manufacturing a diverse array of proteins essential to our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manufacture proteins to meet product specifications and follow production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of finished product.
- Perform quality control assays to ensure products meet existing quality control requirements, including evaluation of raw materials when necessary.
- Understand quality requirements related to work area and demonstrate good documentation practices to consistently produce quality products and documentation.
- Assist with writing, reviewing, and revising manufacturing and quality control protocols for clarity, technical content, process improvements, and raw material changes.
- Design experiments to problem-solve and improve existing manufacturing and quality control processes.
- Assist with project plans and experimental design, providing data or information to others in the work area and assisting in implementation activities for own products.
- May assist on multidisciplinary product improvement or development teams by providing information and technical support to meet team goals.
- Demonstrate inclusion through words and actions and be accountable for a safe workspace, acting with kindness, curiosity, and respect for others.
- Embrace and incorporate Promega's 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work.
- Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
- A.D., B.S., or M.S. degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology) with 3+ years of postgraduate lab experience in industrial manufacturing operations.
- Documented record of accomplishment in experimental design and problem-solving relevant to this position.
- Documented record of organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to effectively work on several projects and/or products.
- Ability to interpret and communicate scientific results and interact productively with others on the team.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use a computer/Microsoft Office applications.
- Prior industry experience.
- Experience with use of computers for collection and analysis of experimental data.
- Self-starter, creative, and capable of initiating and implementing methods to accomplish the requirements of this position.
- Ability to work at a laboratory bench for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work with hazardous materials (e.g. chemicals, radioactivity, electrical equipment) so as not to endanger oneself or others.
- Ability to use standard laboratory protective equipment.
