Destination Pet LLC is an innovative company that prioritizes the well-being of pets and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled Pet Care Ambassador to join our team at Zionsville Country Kennel.

This role offers a competitive salary of $16.00/hour, depending on experience.

Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide exceptional customer service to clients and pet guests. This includes:

  • Supporting Destination Pet's mission, vision, and values.
  • Selling services and products to prospective customers.
  • Touring prospective clients through the facility.
  • Answering phone calls and providing information according to established procedures.
  • Welcoming clients and pet guests while ensuring proper vaccination records.

In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Cash management, including accepting payments for services and maintaining accurate end-of-day balances.
  • Explaining company policies to customers in a positive manner.
  • Responding to customer complaints in a professional and courteous way.
  • Escorting pet guests and providing water as needed.
  • Maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of public areas.
  • Completing required training and attending sessions as needed.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service or retail sales.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to resolve problems quickly and professionally.
  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Proficiency in using multi-line phone systems and computer software.

The ideal candidate will be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be willing to frequently lift 40 pounds. They should also be comfortable handling dogs on leashes and working in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions.

This role reports directly to the General Manager and offers opportunities for growth and development within the company.
