Clinical Data Specialist

**Job Summary**

VirtualVocations is seeking a skilled Clinical Data Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Data Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting medical records to identify diagnoses, conditions, and procedures for coding. You will apply ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines to assign and sequence correct diagnostic and procedural codes.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Review and interpret medical records to identify diagnoses, conditions, and procedures for coding
* Apply ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines to assign and sequence correct diagnostic and procedural codes
* Maintain current knowledge of coding guidelines and assist with charge corrections as needed

**Required Qualifications, Training, and Education**

* Post High School education or equivalent
* Two years of coding experience in professional fees (physician/medical office)
* Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
* Current knowledge and experience in ICD-10 coding
* CPC, CCS-P, or CCS certification required
