We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Ambulatory Pre/Post Operative department at Nyack Hospital. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires the nurse to work in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing pre and post-operative procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a pre and post-operative setting
  • Coordinate total patient care with other healthcare team members
  • Function as a patient advocate, utilizing the Patient's Bill of Rights
  • Demonstrate professional growth and development by accepting responsibility and accountability for one's nursing practice
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years perioperative experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting
  • Prior knowledge of Pre & Post-Operative equipment or ability to learn
  • National Certification in area of practice preferred
  • N.Y.S. Nursing License, Current N.Y.S. Registration
  • BLS, ACLS
