Surgical Services Nurse Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Services Nurse Coordinator to join our team at SSM Health.
About the Role
This is a full-time day shift position that requires three years of RN experience, with surgery experience highly preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering professional nursing care in the operative setting, connecting with clinical education to ensure unit competency and received professional development to provide high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Coach in assigned areas, collaborating with professionals to promote quality support and service through training and in-field mentoring.
- Facilitate professional collaborative groups among professionals, focusing on capacity building and enhancing skills.
- Provide direct observation, evaluation, individual and/or group consultation, and document review. Participate in multidisciplinary assessments and internal/external quality assurance activities.
- Work as a liaison between the clinical education department and surgical/procedural services, supporting skill competency and professional development.
- Perform scrub functions, including instrument handling, and prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for use.
- Conduct circulating functions, monitoring patient condition, recording, communicating, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to deliver age-specific and clinical needs-driven care.
- Adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, guiding responses to evolving health and nursing needs.
- Work safely, maintaining a constant state of alertness.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent for licensure.
- Three years' experience as a Registered Nurse.
Salary and Benefits
