Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse - General Medicine is responsible for providing patient-centered care and performing procedures within the scope of their education and training, under the direction of a clinician or licensed personnel. This role involves utilizing knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics to provide care to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient-oriented procedures and tasks within the scope of their education and training
  • Provide nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems
  • Utilize knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics
  • Work collaboratively with clinicians and licensed personnel to provide high-quality patient care
  • Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing and/or passing of LVN licensing board examination required
  • No experience required
  • Current and unrestricted California LVN license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained
  • IV Certification preferred
