Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Orthopedic Assistant to join our team at New Braunfels Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and document patient information, including chief complaints and medical histories.
  • Facilitate patient flow and ensure efficient use of time.
  • Assist physicians and PAs with procedures and examinations.
  • Report changes in patient condition and document patient care.
  • Prepare lab and X-ray results for physician review.
  • Restock exam rooms and prepare instruments.
  • Participate in patient call-backs and follow up on test results.
  • Correctly file information in patient charts.
  • Verify insurance coverage and process authorizations.
  • Be available for regular daily schedule.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of clinical back office experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
