i4 Search Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursing Director to lead our Med-Surg Oncology department in Richmond, VA.
**About the Role**
As a Nursing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide strategic leadership to the Med-Surg Oncology nursing team, promoting a culture of excellence and quality patient care.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans for oncology patients, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
- Monitor patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance care delivery and patient satisfaction.
- Manage departmental budgets, resources, and staffing to optimize operational efficiency, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients and staff.
- Foster a positive work environment through mentorship, professional development, and performance evaluations, promoting a culture of growth and excellence.
- Stay current with advancements in oncology care, incorporating evidence-based practices into departmental operations to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives to promote organizational goals and objectives, collaborating with stakeholders to drive change and improvement.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and their families, promoting a culture of transparency and trust.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Active Registered Nurse licensed within the State of practice.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing, with 2 years of experience in a management role.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care, with a passion for excellence and quality.
**Salary and Benefits**
**Salary:** $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience.
