  • Utilize your recovery experience to support clients in accessing treatment services and overcoming obstacles.
  • Collaborate with referral sources to ensure seamless transitions of care to our service sites.
  • Engage in outreach activities to raise awareness about our services within the community.
  • Teach the value of recovery experience and empower clients to take control of their lives.
  • Assist clients in identifying potential barriers and connecting them with community resources.
  • Help clients develop empowerment skills and combat stigma through self-advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in our electronic medical records system.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in substance use disorder and co-occurring disorders through ongoing education and training.
  • Provide transportation coordination and drive as needed to support clients in accessing care and treatment services.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approval by The Salvation Army MVR required.
  • Self-identified as a person in recovery from substance use/co-occurring disorder.
  • Minimum 36 months of experience working on your own recovery and managing your own wellness.
