Radiology Specialist Job Description

As a Radiology Specialist with the US Army - San Antonio, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases using X-ray and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform body section radiography, foreign body localization, prenatal, pediatric, urogenital, and radiographic examinations of the digestive, respiratory, vascular, and nervous systems.
  • Operate fixed and portable radiology equipment, preparing, assembling, and adjusting instruments, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Inspect and perform operator maintenance on radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Training and Benefits:
  • 10 weeks of Basic Training to develop fundamental skills and knowledge.
  • 46 weeks of Technical School with on-the-job instructions to specialize in radiology.

Requirements:
  • Between 17-34 years old.
  • No felonies (deferred adjudication included).
  • Current High School Senior, High School graduate, or GED equivalent.

  • Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test.
