Job Summary:

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitor Specialist to join our team. As a Cardiac Monitor Specialist, you will be responsible for observing patients' cardiac rhythms and reporting any abnormalities to the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide continuous observation of patients' monitors, leads, and/or activity and behaviors.
  • Alert appropriate clinical staff of any changes and abnormalities.
  • Obtain calibrated rhythm strips per policy and maintain documentation in accordance with facility standards.
  • Provide information and summaries to physicians and staff.
  • Monitor and assist in the maintenance of monitoring equipment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Current BLS certification may be required in certain departments.
  • Completion of unit-approved basic electrocardiogram or electroencephalographic interpretation course or on-the-job training.
