We support the energy, defense, and science markets through responsive, cost-effective execution of critical environmental, facilities and infrastructure, and nuclear defense and nonproliferation projects.

The Role

We are looking for a talented Graphic Design specialist who can assist with the development and deployment of visual media, including preparing layouts, designs, artwork, and formats for use in various products. The successful candidate will have experience communicating and disseminating program information which results in an understanding of the agency's mission and activities, as well as strong conceptual and creative abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graphic Design: Prepare layouts, designs, artwork, and formats for use in various products, including logos, graphs, charts, posters, signs, flyers, etc.
  • Visual Media: Assist with the development and deployment of visual media, including photographing and editing photos for use in various internal and external materials.
  • Video Production: Capture and edit video, perform interviews and write scripts for use in various internal and external materials.
  • Event Support: Assist with planning, material preparation, and execution of public and stakeholder events.
  • Communications Planning: Assist with formulation and deployment of strategic, targeted communications planning.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher: A degree in a related field or five years of relevant experience.
  • DOE Public Affairs Experience: Relevant DOE public affairs experience and/or representing government interests is preferred.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong writing and editing skills for clear, coherent, and concise narratives, as well as strong presentation development and oral communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere).

Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including Major Medical Plan with Prescription Card, Dental Plan, Vision, and Disability Insurance, Retirement Plan 401(k), Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), Comprehensive Leave, Holidays, and more.
