Certifying Scientist

Labcorp is seeking a highly skilled Certifying Scientist to join its team in Raritan, NJ. This position will be working in the Forensic Toxicology department, which performs urine drug of abuse monitoring testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and verify all data to ensure accuracy before final results are reported.
- Perform certification review of all initial and confirmation data.
- Accurately enter and report test results for all specimens.
- Verify chain of custody documents, quality controls, and calibrations.
- Provide technical, interpretive, and/or regulatory consultation and assistance to clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required or an MLS degree.
- Previous laboratory experience is required; 2 years is highly preferred.
- Qualify as an NLCP Certifying Scientist in an appropriate time frame.
- Prior GC/MS and LC/MS certification experience is a plus.
