IT Manager

This position will be responsible for acting as the liaison between IT and specific business functions to understand both business operational and development needs, provide oversight and prioritization of IT projects, to develop IT/business capability roadmaps and to ensure IT projects align with technology that delivers return on investment.
Key Responsibilities:- IT Infrastructure Management: Lead the IT Infrastructure team including Help Desk (both outsourced and in-house resources)
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with corporate security requirements and external customer security requirements
- Business Representation: Represent the business needs and interests within IT, contributing to appropriate Corporate IT team, operational and development meetings
- Project Prioritization: Responsible for the prioritization of projects, particularly using cost/benefit analysis to proactively manage business demand
- Project Management: Project leader/manager, coordinating the work of both internal and external IT resources
- Business Process Knowledge: Maintain detailed knowledge of the key business processes and systems employed by the business
- Technology Recommendations: Make objective recommendations regarding the relative fit of technology to business need
- Supplier Management: Assist with the operational and relationship management of third-party suppliers
- Process Solutions: Assist the business to form process and systems solutions that satisfy both tactical and strategic business needs
- Solution/Vendor RFP's: Assist with solution/vendor RFP's
This position manages the employees of the department. The manager will participate in hiring of employees and will be responsible for scheduling, organizing, and assigning projects to members of the IT team. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Manages disciplinary matters as needed in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (Preferred)
- Experience: 5+ years of IT applications delivery/management experience, 5+ years of IT business analysis experience, 5+ years of IT project/program management, PMP certification a plus, 5+ years of ERP system management, Epicor preferred
- Skills: Strong program/project management skills, deadline-oriented and able to complete assignments promptly, good interpersonal skills, able to influence and engender collaboration, well-organized and able to work on own initiative, excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner, strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, attention to detail and excellent analytic skills
