Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Millbrook Support Services Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Requirements:
  • 2 Years experience
  • Any state license
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS
Responsibilities:
  1. Possesses a valid, current license to practice nursing as an LPN and be licensed to practice in the State of Colorado.
  2. Can provide nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.
  3. Has and maintains current BCLS certification.
  4. Demonstrates ability to lift 50 pounds.
  5. Demonstrates ability to perform quality control checks and operator maintenance for a variety of patient care equipment.
  6. Demonstrates ability to assist in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care.
  7. Demonstrates ability to document care given and patient response in the medical record.
  8. Demonstrates knowledge of actions and usual dosages of most used emergency drugs and their location.
  9. Demonstrates ability to assist in patient/family education regarding prescribed medications/therapies/diagnostic procedures.
  10. Demonstrates ability to participate in monitoring quality of care according to professional standards and established procedures.
  11. Demonstrates ability to respond to telephone inquiries regarding ward services and/or follow-up ancillary reports.
  12. Demonstrates ability to assist with ward related administrative tasks.
  13. Demonstrates ability to administer oxygen, intravenous fluids, and prescribed medications in accordance with VA policy.
  14. Demonstrates ability to be sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce, in the Veteran population, and in the Community.
