Overview:
">The University of Florida is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator to join our team in the Family Nutrition Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering nutrition and health education to youth in Calhoun and Liberty County communities.
">About Us:
">The UF/IFAS Extension Family Nutrition Program (FNP) has been providing SNAP-Ed in Florida since 1996. Our program focuses on teaching people how to eat healthy on a budget and be more physically active to reduce the risk of obesity and chronic disease.
">Job Description:
">This position requires an individual who is passionate about educating others and making a positive impact on their community. As a Nutrition Educator, you will use standardized curriculum materials based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans to teach food and nutrition-related subject matter to youth audiences in a group setting.
">You will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs that promote healthy eating habits and physical activity among youth. This may include activities such as food demonstrations and taste tests, gardening, soccer, and other hands-on learning experiences.
">Additionally, you will collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to identify opportunities for programming and develop relationships with schools, community centers, and other organizations to reach participants.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred qualifications include experience in education, childcare, community health, food prep or service, or related fields.">
- Experience working with youth audiences (pre-k through high school) and lower resource clients is a plus.">
- Comfortable using technology for educational, data entry, and communication purposes.">
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.">
